The Waterfront is not very close to CMU but is a popular place. Once the site of a steel mill, there are remnants left behind to remind people of its history. Now a huge shopping complex, there is a huge multiplex movie theater, a very large grocery store, numerous other stores (mostly chains) and eating establishments, including a Dave & Buster's.

The 61C and the 59U go to the Waterfront.
